What happens if it rains or it’s very windy?
We would like to say that the show always goes on but, in the event of inclement weather (strong wind or rain), the show will be cancelled and you will receive an SMS and email notification (sent to details provided during booking) as soon as a decision has been made. This email will contain all the details you need to claim your exchange/refund. Kindly note that no exchanges/refunds will be made after 7 days of the cancelled show.
What is the refund/exchange policy?
- If a movie is cancelled due to inclement weather, either the day before or on the day of the event before 6pm when doors are open, we will inform you of this via email and SMS. Please also keep an eye out on our website, Facebook page and Twitter page where we will keep you updated about the weather. You will then have the option of choosing another movie on another date or getting a refund. Please note that no refunds or exchanges will be given after 7 days from the cancellation date for any reason whatsoever.
- If a movie is cancelled after 6pm once the doors have opened, you will have the option of choosing another movie on another date. You will receive an email and SMS the following working day with instructions in this regard. Can I bring my own chair or backrest?
Unfortunately no private chairs or backrests are allowed into the movie area. You can, however, rent comfortable backrests for only R20 on the night or book them in advance for only R16 with the Comfy Ticket. Please contact us on 071 471 8728 should you have any medical condition that would require a private chair.
Can I bring my own blankets and cushions?
Yes, you can!
Is there access for wheelchairs?
All our venues have wheelchair access. Upon entering the movie area, please contact the manager on duty who will give you some options of where you can sit without obstructing the view of other guests. Please let us know if you need assistance on the day as our staff will be more than happy to assist you.
Is smoking allowed?
Kindly note that smoking, including electronic cigarettes and vaping, is not allowed anywhere except at the designated smoking area, which is always in full view of the screen.
Do you offer children or senior discounts?
Unfortunately not, but babies 2 years and younger enter free of charge.
What time do the gates open?
Doors open at 6pm from Wednesday to Friday, at 5pm on Saturdays and 4pm on Sundays. We recommend arriving early to reserve a good viewing spot on the lawn and enjoy some of the delicious food and drinks on sale at our local food market.
What time does the movie start?
Depending on the time of year, this will be any time from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. Please visit our Movies page for specific movie times. These times will also be clearly noted on your ticket.
Can I bring my dog along?
Willowbridge Mall is the only dog-friendly venue. Please note that no animals are allowed into any of our other venues.
How much do tickets cost?

How do I collect my ticket?
All ticketing is handled by Webtickets. As soon as you purchase your ticket online, you will receive an email with your ticket. Please print it and bring it along so we can scan it. Alternatively, your bar code can be sent to your smartphone, which we can scan instead of the paper. Please do not forget either your paper ticket or smartphone as we won’t be able to let you in without one of these.
Which credit cards do you accept?
You can pay for your tickets online with Mastercard, Visa, Amex or Diners Club card.
I don’t have a credit card, can I still purchase a ticket?
Sure. You may also pay via EFT or Cash Deposit when purchasing your tickets online through Webtickets, or in-store at any Pick n Pay store.
Where can I find photos that were taken at the show?
All photos will be uploaded to our Facebook page within 7 days of the screening.
Can I purchase my ticket at the door?
Only if tickets are still available will you be able to get them at the door. These will cost R100 for a standard ticket and only cash will be accepted as we do not have credit card facilities available at the door. Chairs and blankets can be rented on location too, for R20 and R10 respectively and cash only.
What food and drinks are available and can I bring my own?
We have various delightful, local food vendors selling a wide range of foods, including Halaal and vegetarian options. These include (for most venues) pizzas, nachos, wraps, popcorn, candy floss, sweets, cool drinks, coffee, beer and wine. Please visit the Food page for specific information about food sold at each venue.
You may bring your own food (except alcohol at wine estates) but most people buy on location.
What happens to lost property?
Lost property will be kept for four weeks, after which it will be donated to charity. Email us should you have lost something at The Galileo.
What about parental guidance for movies?
Some of our movies have age restrictions or parental guidance. We display this information on our website purely as additional information and ask parents to assess whether their children are old enough to watch an age rated movie.
Rated G: General Audiences – all ages admitted.
Rated PG: Parental Guidance Suggested – some material may not be suitable for children.
Rated PG-13: Parents Strongly Cautioned – some material may be inappropriate for children under 13.
Rated R: Restricted – under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian.
Why can’t I buy a VIP ticket the day of the show?
We pride ourselves in creating a unique VIP experience, which is why we need 24 hours to get these seats prepared and personalised just for you.
Can I display a message on the screen?
We do offer this service to guests planning to propose, and celebrating a birthday or anniversary. For proposals, you are able to create your own video/slideshow – please follow these guidelines to arrange this momentous occasion. We use a standard template for birthdays and anniversaries so please email the name/s of the relevant person/s to email@example.com at least 2 days prior to the screening.
