DID YOU KNOW? The Marquee lawn (Gate 2) at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden is sheltered from the wind, so the Cape Doctor won’t keep you from an awesome experience!

Selected Dates

The Galileo lights up Kirstenbosch Garden on selected weekdays from 15 October 2026 to 16 May 2027, with special shows on Halloween, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Galentine’s Day and Easter Friday.
Doors open at 6 PM (unless stated otherwise for December dates or Special Shows—check your ticket). Movies begin after sunset.

Things To Know

Pack a picnic or visit the lovely vendors at The Galileo mini-market to purchase delicious food and drinks. Choose from a variety of meals, beverages, and tasty snacks. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and Halaal options are available. If you have specific dietary requirements, please email us at hello@thegalileo.co.za beforehand.
